Campus Message 04.18.17

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,

Last year, the UIC Master Plan Advisory Committee began the process of formulating a 10-year plan to help UIC “Escape Forward” through strategic development of campus facilities and grounds. I am pleased to announce that the committee has developed a draft plan titled, Envisioning Our Future: 2017-2027 Plan, that is now ready for input from all campus stakeholders. The draft plan and video can be found at:

I have asked the co-chairs of the committee, Fernando Howell, Director of Capital Planning and Project Management, and Dave Taeyaerts, Associate Vice Chancellor of Learning Environments & Campus Architect, to present the draft plan before the end of the semester at two town hall meetings to gather your feedback. The dates and times of the town hall meetings are as follows:

Wednesday, April 26, 2017 (East)
3:00 to 4:30 PM
University Hall, Room 2850

Thursday, April 27, 2017 (West)
9:30 to 11:00 AM
College of Nursing Auditorium, Room 158

Your input is critical to the planning process and I hope that you will attend one of these two town hall meetings. Together, we’ll continue to shape the future of UIC.
