Senior Leadership
The Chancellor of the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) reports directly to the President of the University of Illinois System (U of I System) and the Board of Trustees. UIC is one of three distinct universities within the U of I System and holds the distinction of being Chicago’s largest and only public Carnegie Research 1 institution.
Reporting to the Chancellor is the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and the Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs, who is responsible for UIC’s education, research, and health care delivery across its seven health sciences colleges. Additional Vice Chancellors and senior staff support the Chancellor in managing various campus operations and administrative functions.
